The Paul Howry Memorial Golf Tournament is held annually in honor of a man who gave generously to the YMCA in spirit, mind, and body. Since its start in 1990, tournament proceeds have been used to build the Paul Howry Endowment Fund. This fund helps ensure that YMCA participants of all ages and abilities have access to adaptive equipment, inclusive programming, and supportive services that encourage active lifestyles and build essential life skills. Thanks to contributions from past tournaments, the YMCA has been able to expand accessible features in its facilities—including a pool lift, adaptive changing equipment, enhanced family bathroom and locker room amenities, accessible transportation, and improved entryways.
Additionally, the Y continues to grow its adaptive programming such as inclusive swim lessons, specialized fitness activities, and staff training that promotes accessibility and full participation for everyone.
