The Annual Gene “Tootie” Blair Charity Golf Tournament is a fundraising event hosted by the Ocean Drive Pavilion Social & Shag Club (ODPSSC). The purpose is to raise funds for local Horry County charity and community organizations. Our goal for The Tootie Blair Tournament is to have fun, meet friends and make new acquaintances, as well as play a little golf! The fun begins on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Fat Harold's in North Myrtle Beach. During the evening the ODPSSC's Silent Auction will take place with a variety of nice gift packages available for bidding, a DJ will provide music dancing to our favorite dance, the Shag! At 7:30 PM, the Golf Committee will announce the Team Pairings. Raffle tickets will be available for sale Saturday at the course until 9:00 AM. The club will award special prizes to winning raffle tickets on Saturday. Please pick up all silent auction items, prizes, and awards at the conclusion of the tournament. The tournament is on Saturday, October 17, 2026, with a Shotgun Start at 9:00AM. The format is a Four-Person Best Ball Scramble. Teams are based on player Handicaps or Average Score. As balanced as possible, teams will have an, A, B, C, and D player. New this year there is a $5,000 Putting Contest. Players, guests, and others can choose to participate for a $10 entry fee. The putting contest will be ongoing throughout the tournament with the final participants putting at the conclusion of the tournament. Additionally, there is a women's and men's longest drive and closest-to-the-pin contests with prizes for the winners. This year’s registration entry includes two mulligans per player, a player gift bag, along with beverages and lunch. Additional Mulligans are available for purchase for $5 each until 08:45 on Saturday. No more than four mulligans per player allowed. Hole sponsor signs are available for $100. Purchase Sponsor signs no later than September 30, 2026, to allow for production. Tournament registration and entries are due no later than October 10, 2026, by 5:00 PM. The Golf Committee will review and consider other entries after the deadline. The ODPSSC is excited about hosting the Friday Pre-Tournament Party and Saturday Golf Tournament, and look forward to your participation, as a player, volunteer, sponsor, or guest.
