Event Summary
John Wheless was a native of Jackson, MS, and a resident of Shreveport for 56 years. He was a lifelong member of St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral, where he served on the Church Vestry for many years. As an alumnus of LSU Baton Rouge and a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, John's commitment extended beyond the realm of his faith and education. He also contributed his time and expertise as a valued member of the Board of St. Luke's Episcopal Mobile Medical Ministry. Moreover, he embraced his family's legacy as a fourth-generation co-owner of Allen Millwork, Inc.
With a passion for his family and friends, the game of golf, and the LSU Tigers, John's spirit radiated through his every endeavor. In a tribute to honor his father's enduring legacy, his son Jackson Wheless, a local commercial real estate agent with Sealy Real Estate Services, memorializes his father’s legacy with this inaugural Golf Classic. This meaningful event serves as a testament to his father's love for the sport while simultaneously raising funds to support the work of St. Luke's Episcopal Medical Ministry.
