This event was started in 2001 by Don Brown, an integral member of the Mission Bay Real Estate Association, longtime resident of Pacific Beach and father of 3. Don was dedicated to giving back to the community, and through his efforts, the Mission Bay Real Estate Association has donated mush needed funds to Pacific Beach's public elementary schools including Crown Point Junior Music Academy, Barnard Asian Pacific Academy, Kate Sessions Elementary and Pacific Beach Elementary. Don passed away in 2017 but his spirit of giving and generosity lives on with this annual event, which has donated in excess of $280,000 to PB's public elementary schools over the past 25 years.
